How to Transfer images from camera to computer. (Windows XP)

 

1.Remove memory card from camera.

 

2.Put memory card into card reader (make sure you are using the proper card read for your card).

 

3.Plug card reader into USB port.

 

4.After a few seconds a menu will come up with many choices.

 

5.The first choice should be “Copy Pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Picture and Scanner Wizard” Select that choice and hit “OK”

 

6.Next you will see a screen that says “Welcome to the Scanner and Camera Wizard” Hit “Next”.

 

7.Your photos will be shown with a small box next to each upper right corner.  You can check the box or uncheck the box to select the photos. Hit “Next”

 

8.The next page is called “Picture and Name Destination

In the first area you can select a name for all the photos you checked off.  They will be given numbers AFTER that name when they are transferred such as “Nassau001, Nassau002, etc.

In the second area you must select the proper destination folder for your photos.  If you don’t see it in the blank area, click on the “Browse” button until you see the proper folder and click on it – that will highlight it in blue.  Click “OK”

 

Then click “Next”

 

9.You will see the photos transferred to the appropriate folder and then be asked what you want to do next.  Click “Nothing”

 

10.Then click “Next”

 

11.Click “Finish”

 

You have just successfully transferred the photos from your camera via the memory card and card reader to your computer.  You must make sure you have made an appropriate folder for the photos BEFORE you start this process.
