With the software I use (Picasa 2.7. and  MGI/Roxio PhotoSuite 4.0 Platinum Ed)

OR with the basic software that comes with your camera, you will be able to:

Crop, Enhance, and Touchup your photos.

Crop is to adjust and change the size and shape of your photo

Enhance is to automatically change the quality, color, brightness, etc

Touchup is to manually fix red eye, scratches, blemishes and other qualities of your photo.

Digital Photography is a verb!  It’s not a noun!

It’s not what you take the image with, it’s what you do with the image!

Digital Photography is “the manipulation of the image”.

REMEMBER   The Five Primary Rules for Digital Photography.

Shoot all the pictures you want (because you probably won’t want all the pictures you shoot)!

Never throw anything away! (You don’t know what you get until you “play” with it!)

Always shoot “wide” (You should be able to “zoom” in later!)

Always make copies of your files! (Renaming your files lets you work on “copies” – not originals!)

Always use your flash.  (“Fill” Flash during daylight reduces dark shadows)
